New Regal Auto Care is a trailer repair shop in Mississauga servicing commercial highway trailers, including brakes, tires, suspension, lighting, landing gear, doors, floors and structural welding.
MTO Authorized | Expert Mechanics | 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
We are a commercial trailer repair shop on the Dixie Road corridor, minutes from the 401, 410 and 407. Our work is highway trailers, not RVs or utility trailers. Commercial units run air brakes, heavy suspension, ABS and structural framing that a general auto shop is not set up for.
A trailer sitting in a yard earns nothing. We work on Class 8 equipment every day, from 53-foot dry vans to reefers, flatbeds and container chassis, in a bay that takes a full tractor-trailer. Brakes and air systems, tires and wheel ends, suspension, lighting and ABS faults, landing gear, floors, doors and welding. We quote before we start and we tell you honestly when you get the unit back.
We are an MTO-authorized DriveON Vehicle Inspection Centre. That means the safety inspections and emissions testing we perform are recognised by the Ministry of Transportation, done by licensed technicians, on approved equipment.
Quick access to the 401, 410 and 407, which matters when moving a trailer that is not fully roadworthy.
We work on the whole unit indoors, not in a yard.
One location for both, so you are not splitting a job across two shops.
No surprise line items and no work you did not approve.
Itemised repair orders, for tracking maintenance cost per unit and building inspection history.
If your tires are fine, we say so. We tell you what needs attention now and what can wait.

Brakes put more trailers out of service than anything else. We handle brake shoes and drums, S-cams and camshaft bushings, slack adjusters, air chambers, glad hands, air lines and ABS faults.
Broken leaf springs, worn bushings, cracked hangers, failed air bags, leaking shocks and bent axles, on both leaf spring and air ride systems.
Tire repairs and replacements, rotations, pressure checks, rim inspection, bearings and seals. We also look for what caused the failure rather than just fitting a new tire.
Floors, side panels, roofs, doors and door hardware, landing gear, dolly legs, king pins and upper coupler plates, plus structural welding and fabrication.
Nobody calls a trailer shop because they enjoy it. They call because a unit is down and something has to move.
The repair bill is rarely the real cost. The load that did not deliver, the driver being paid to wait and the reload you had to turn down usually cost more than the parts.
A trailer that sits three days over a part that could have been caught at inspection is an expensive way to save money. We quote fast and give you a timeline you can plan around.
If we cannot get to your unit today, we say so. We would rather turn work away than take a trailer in and let it sit while you assume it is being worked on.
Uneven brake wear, repeat tire failures and intermittent lighting faults almost always have an upstream cause. Replacing the symptom means you are back in three weeks with the same problem.
Usually a slack adjuster, a seized S-cam, a sticking air chamber or contaminated lining. Worth diagnosing, because dragging brakes eat tires and generate heat.
Corroded grounds, chafed harnesses and failing seven-way plugs. Road salt is behind most of it, and a proper repair means fixing the connection, not swapping the bulb.
Bent legs, stripped gearboxes or a seized shaft. Safety-critical, because a trailer that cannot be dropped safely is a yard hazard.
Almost never the tire. Mismatched duals, a dragging brake, a failing bearing or an out-of-spec axle will keep destroying tires until the fault is found.
Broken springs, worn bushings, cracked hangers, failed air bags or a bent axle.
Bring the report. We work through the listed defects and get the unit back to standard.
We perform MTO-authorized annual and semi-annual safety inspections and heavy-duty diesel emissions testing under Ontario's DriveON programme, and we carry out the repairs needed to pass, on site.
The yellow sticker is Ontario's annual commercial vehicle safety inspection certificate. It is valid for twelve months on an annual inspection, six on a semi-annual, and running without a current one risks fines and being placed out of service at a roadside inspection.
Heavy diesel commercial vehicles need an annual emissions test at an authorized DriveON centre. The test includes a pre-test check and an opacity test, performed by a registered DriveON technician.
Preventive maintenance inspections are part of your maintenance plan and schedule under Ontario regulation, and must be carried out by a qualified technician at set intervals. They are also the cheapest hour you will ever spend on a truck.
Most units that fail, fail on the same short list. Brakes out of adjustment, lighting faults, worn suspension components, tire condition and structural cracks. All of them are work we do.
Air brake service end to end. Shoes and drums, S-cams, slack adjusters, air chambers, glad hands, air lines and ABS faults. Suspension across leaf spring and air ride. These three systems account for the majority of both inspection failures and roadside out-of-service orders.
Oil and filter changes, fluids, DEF, batteries, charging systems, lighting, tires, diagnostics and the general running repairs that keep a commercial vehicle earning. Nothing exotic, done properly, quoted before we start.
We service all makes, and that is the point. A dealer will only look at its own badge, and you pay dealer rates and wait on dealer scheduling. We handle Class 3 through Class 8 across every major make, so a mixed fleet does not mean four different shops and four different invoices. Bring us a Hino box truck on Monday and a Kenworth sleeper on Tuesday. We service all makes of commercial truck, including Isuzu, Hino, Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt and Kenworth, along with box trucks, straight trucks and highway tractors, plus the trailers behind them.

VNL and VNR highway tractors. Diesel diagnostics, aftertreatment and DEF systems, air brakes, suspension and driveline. Volvo electrical and sensor faults often present as something else entirely, so diagnosis comes before parts.

The N-Series and F-Series are everywhere in GTA delivery work, and we see them constantly. Common jobs are DPF and regeneration issues from short urban routes, brake and suspension wear from stop-start driving, and body and box repairs.

The 195, 258 and 268 are the backbone of a lot of local fleets. We handle diesel service, aftertreatment and DPF work, brakes, suspension and annual inspection preparation. Hino chassis under box bodies are one of the most common combinations we see.

579, 389 and the rest. Air systems, brakes, suspension, electrical and aftertreatment, plus annual inspection preparation for owner-operators who would rather not lose a week to a dealer appointment.

Anthem, Pinnacle and Granite. Heavy vocational work takes a harder life than highway mileage, so we see more suspension, frame and driveline wear on Mack units running out of construction and aggregate operations.

T680, T880 and W900. Same story as Peterbilt on the mechanical side. Owner-operators running these units feel every day of downtime directly, which is why we quote fast and tell you honestly when we can have it back.
Commercial trailer repair is different from auto repair because trailers run air brake systems, heavy-duty suspension, ABS and load-bearing structural frames, and because they are inspected and regulated as commercial equipment.
A 53-foot dry van and a landscaping trailer share a name and almost nothing else. Commercial units need air brake service, tandem and slider work, king pin inspection and structural repair. We are equipped for that, not for RV work.
Air brakes work on pressure and adjustment rather than hydraulics. Out-of-adjustment slack adjusters, seized S-cams, contaminated linings and leaking air chambers cause most dragging and grabbing.
Brakes, tires, lights, suspension and structural cracks account for most inspection failures and roadside pull-overs. Those five are the bulk of our work.
Most of our customers run a tractor and a trailer, not a trailer on its own, and they would rather not chase two shops in two locations for one problem. We handle truck and trailer repair at the same Mississauga location, which means one drop-off, one contact and one invoice.
Bring the whole unit. If the fault is on the tractor rather than the trailer, we are already looking at it.
If you run multiple units, we schedule around your load calendar rather than ours where we can.
For tractor and truck work specifically, see our truck repair Mississauga page.
Trailer brakes — whether electric, hydraulic, or air-operated. Are a safety requirement and a legal one. Worn brake shoes, seized actuators, and corroded wiring. Are the most common issues we find during trailer inspections. Axle bearing wear is another frequent finding in trailers. That cover high mileage or carry maximum loads regularly. We test brake response, inspect all four corners, and replace components to spec.
Trailer suspension takes everything the road throws at it, plus the full weight of the load above. Leaf spring fatigue, equalizer bar wear, and hanger bracket corrosion. Are common in trailers operating on Mississauga’s industrial routes year-round. Improper suspension affects tire wear significantly — a trailer running out of alignment. Can destroy a set of tires in a fraction of their expected life. We inspect and align trailer axles and replace worn suspension components.
Trailer lighting failures are one of the most common MTO compliance issues. Corroded connectors, broken ground circuits, and damaged wiring. From road debris cause intermittent or complete lighting failures. We trace trailer wiring circuits from the connector back, repair damaged sections, and verify all running lights. Brake lights, and turn signals before the trailer goes back on the road. Seven-pin connector replacement and re-wiring are standard services.
Trailer frames, crossmembers, and mounting brackets take physical damage. From loading, unloading, and road impact. Cracked frame sections and broken mounting points are a structural safety concern. That needs proper welding repair not just bolted patches. We handle trailer structural repairs and can reinforce. Worn or impact-damaged sections to restore load-carrying capacity.
A trailer that runs without regular checks costs. Significantly more to operate over time. Preventive maintenance covers brake adjustment, bearing repack, lighting inspection. Suspension check, and kingpin or coupler inspection depending on trailer type. Scheduling this ahead of heavy-use seasons. Spring and fall catches developing issues before they become roadside failures or MTO violations.

One trailer, and every day it is down costs you directly. We prioritise fast diagnosis and honest timelines.
Scheduled maintenance and itemised repair orders so you can track cost per unit.
High-cycle equipment on the 401 and 407 corridors, where turnaround time is the whole business.
Not every job is a breakdown. Plenty of our work is bringing older equipment back up to standard.
Rotted floor boards, damaged side panels and torn roof sheeting, in steel, aluminum, wood and composite.
Swing doors that will not seal, jammed roll-ups, hinges, latches, seals and locking hardware.
Full harness replacement where corrosion has made piecemeal repairs pointless. Common on older Ontario units.
Which system is involved, parts availability and grade, how many positions are affected, whether the fault is isolated or upstream, structural versus running gear work, trailer age and condition, single repair versus full inspection prep, and access requirements.
A trailer brake job is not one price. Two axles versus four, drums that can be turned versus drums that need replacing, and a seized S-cam found mid-job all change the number. We look first, then quote.
The cheapest quote is not the cheapest outcome. A repair that returns the unit two days sooner is often worth more than the invoice difference.
Tell us the trailer type and what it is doing. We will say whether we can take it now or book you in.

We find the actual fault, not the symptom, and give you a written quote and timeline before work starts.

Brakes get checked for adjustment and balance, lights get tested end to end, and anything structural gets inspected before it leaves.

We walk you through what we did and what to watch. If something needs attention in a few months, you hear about it now.

It depends on the system and the parts. Lighting and tire work sit at the lower end, brake and suspension in the middle, structural welding and floor replacement at the higher end. We quote before we start. Call with your trailer type and symptom for a realistic range.
Many lighting, tire and minor brake jobs are same-day. Full brake and suspension work is often same-day or next-day depending on parts. Structural work takes longer. You get a timeline with the quote.
Yes. Our bay takes a full tractor-trailer and 53-foot dry vans are our most common unit.
We handle the trailer side, including panels, floors, door seals and structural work. [CONFIRM refrigeration unit servicing]
No. We are set up for commercial highway trailers, which is different work with different equipment. An RV or utility trailer is better served elsewhere.
Yes. Brakes, lights, suspension, tires and structural defects are the common failure items and all are work we do. Bring the inspection report, since it tells us exactly what needs attention.
VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. Your truck-repair page already answers yes to the equivalent question about commercial vehicles. Confirm the Motor Vehicle Inspection Station licence covers the trailer class, then answer plainly here and add this question to FAQPage schema. If it does not cover trailers, the truck page needs correcting too.
Usually an out-of-adjustment slack adjuster, a seized S-cam, a sticking air chamber or contaminated lining. Dragging brakes eat tires and generate heat, so diagnose it properly.
That pattern points to a mechanical cause rather than a bad tire. Mismatched duals, a dragging brake, a failing wheel bearing or an out-of-spec axle are the usual causes.
Yes. We run mobile service across Mississauga and the surrounding GTA for breakdowns, on-site fleet work and units that cannot be driven in safely. Call for dispatch, since response times vary by day and location. [Confirm trailer-specific mobile scope and callout fee]
Yes. Broken leaf springs, worn bushings, cracked hangers, failed air bags and leaking shocks, on both leaf spring and air ride systems.
Both. Owner-operators running one trailer and fleets running several. If you have multiple units, ask about a preventative maintenance schedule.
We source parts for most repairs and tell you what we are fitting and why. If you have your own parts or a preferred supplier, say so when you book. Warranty terms differ on customer-supplied parts. [CONFIRM warranty position]
Yes. Truck and trailer repair at the same location, so you are not running between two shops for one job.
